NEW DELHI: In a significant diplomatic engagement, the Acting President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday to review bilateral relations and establish fresh avenues for strategic collaboration.
The Prime Minister welcomed the high-level dialogue, noting that the two leaders engaged in extensive discussions centered on expanding sovereign cooperation across several critical economic sectors. These included energy security, critical minerals extraction, technology transfer, agricultural development, healthcare, and the strengthening of bilateral people-to-people ties.

During the course of the dialogue, PM Modi highlighted Venezuela’s position as a highly valued partner within Latin America. He emphasized that maintaining close, institutional cooperation with the nation holds immense geopolitical and economic importance for the broader Global South.
