SATTAHIP (THAILAND) — Reinforcing India’s robust maritime diplomacy and strategic engagement in the Southeast Asian region, frontline warships of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet arrived at the Sattahip Naval Base in Thailand on June 27, 2026.
The task group, comprising indigenously built stealth frigate INS Udaygiri, anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kavaratti, and fleet tanker INS Shakti, is currently on an operational deployment across the South East Asia Region.
Enhancing Interoperability & Bilateral Ties
Led by Rear Admiral Alok Ananda, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF), the Indian delegation received a warm welcome from senior officials of the Royal Thai Navy (RTN).
The scheduled port call is designed to deepen navy-to-navy cooperation through a series of structured professional and tactical interactions:
