NEW DELHI — The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, emphasized that comprehensive, all-round development leading to a positive transformation in the lives of every citizen is essential for driving national progress. He reiterated that this inclusive philosophy guides the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance India’s strategic capabilities and structural strength.

To reinforce this message, the Prime Minister shared a classical Sanskrit Subhashitam detailing the core duties of governance and leadership.

    The Vedic Maxim on Governance

The Prime Minister shared the following verse to illustrate the eternal pillars of public service and statecraft:

    “कन्यानां सम्प्रदानञ्च कुमाराणाञ्च रक्षणम्। राष्ट्रस्य सङ्ग्रहे नित्यं विधानमिदमाचरेत्॥”

    Classical Interpretation

The Subhashitam outlines that the fundamental responsibilities of every public representative and leader rest upon three distinct pillars:

    • Welfare & Empowerment: Ensuring the holistic well-being, progress, and social security of women.

    • Nurturing the Future: Protecting, educating, and fostering the growth of the younger generation.

    • National Integration: Continually designing and executing policies that preserve the unity, security, economic prosperity, and orderly administration of the country.

    Directives for Comprehensive Growth

Expressing his thoughts on the digital platform X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister connected the ancient textual wisdom with contemporary policy delivery frameworks:

    • Accelerated Momentum: When localized development manages to touch and elevate the life of the last citizen in the social queue, the macro-momentum of the entire nation experiences a compounding positive shift.

    • Institutional Alignment: The central administration remains actively deployed in scaling up national infrastructure, social welfare parameters, and digital delivery systems aligned with this ethos of collective welfare.

The Prime Minister underscored that building the foundational capability of individual citizens remains the most secure method for achieving long-term, resilient nation-building.
