NEW DELHI — In a move to strengthen the executive command of India’s primary anti-terror investigative body, the Union government has formally elevated veteran law enforcement official Santosh Rastogi to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG) within the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Rastogi, who previously managed high-stakes security operations as Inspector General (IG) within the organization, steps into the apex leadership layer to guide the agency’s federal mandate.
