CHANDIGARH — The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is set to host the 10th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Health Systems from April 30 to May 1, 2026. Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda will inaugurate the event alongside Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini.

    Summit Objectives and Vision

Since its inception in 2013, the National Summit has served as a flagship platform to document and scale impactful healthcare solutions across India.

    • Cross-Learning: Facilitating the exchange of successful models between States and UTs to address unique public health challenges.

    • Scalability: Identifying evidence-based interventions in service delivery and technology that can be replicated nationally.

    • Alignment: Ensuring innovations support national missions such as Ayushman Bharat and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.

Key Highlights of the 10th Edition

The 2026 Summit is the culmination of a year-long evaluation process that began in April 2025.

    • Innovation Showcase: Out of numerous submissions on the National Healthcare Innovation Portal (NHInP), 13 oral presentations and 32 poster presentations were selected for their measurable impact on health outcomes.

    • CRM Report Release: The event will feature the dissemination of the 17th Common Review Mission (CRM) report. Conducted in November 2025 across 17 states, the CRM provides a multidisciplinary assessment of current public health system functionalities.

    • Thematic Focus: Sessions will center on strengthening primary healthcare, advancing digital health innovations, and improving maternal and child health services.

    Distinguished Participation

The two-day summit will bring together the top tier of India’s health administration, including:

    • State Leadership: Smt. Arti Singh Rao (Health Minister, Haryana), along with Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of Health from various states.

    • National Experts: Mission Directors (NHM), senior ministry officials, and representatives from the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC).

“This Summit provides a valuable opportunity for States and UTs to present outcome-oriented interventions that have led to measurable improvements in India’s healthcare landscape.”

The previous edition of the Summit was held in Puri, Odisha, in early 2025, marking a decade of structured innovation sharing within the Indian public health system.
