NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the loss of lives following a tragic boat capsizing incident in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on May 1. The Prime Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the mishap.
Ex-Gratia and Relief Measures
In response to the tragedy, the Prime Minister announced financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF):

₹2 Lakh: To be provided to the next of kin of each deceased victim.
