    SHIMLA – Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India, chaired a high-level quarterly performance review meeting of SJVN Limited at the company’s Corporate Headquarters. The session focused on evaluating the company’s progress across its diverse energy portfolio in India and Nepal.


    Review of Key Performance Metrics

    The meeting involved a comprehensive assessment of SJVN’s operational and financial standing, specifically focusing on:

    • CAPEX and MoU Targets: Evaluation of capital expenditure (CAPEX) utilization and performance against Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) benchmarks.

    • Project Progress: Monitoring the quarterly development of hydro, thermal, and solar projects currently under implementation.

    • International Operations: Reviewing the status of hydroelectric projects being executed in Nepal.

    Strategic Coordination and Leadership

    The review served as a platform to address critical inter-agency issues, emphasizing the need for:

    • Accelerated Clearances: Speeding up project approvals through better coordination with the Ministry of Power, other Central Ministries, State Governments, and the Government of Nepal.

    • Operational Efficiency: Enhancing execution capabilities to align with the national vision for accelerated power sector growth.

    Leadership Attendance

    The meeting saw participation from senior government and corporate leadership, including:

    • Ministry & CEA: Diwakar Nath Misra (Additional Secretary, Hydro) and Milind Ganesh Gokhale (Member, Central Electricity Authority).

    • SJVN Leadership: Bhupender Gupta (CMD), Ajay Kumar Sharma (Director, Personnel), and Parthajit De (Director, Finance).
