PATNA — In a major transition within Bihar’s highest judiciary, Justice Sudhir Singh has been officially appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, taking charge on July 11, 2026.
The notification, issued by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice under Article 223 of the Constitution, elevates Justice Singh to lead the High Court following the formal retirement of the incumbent 48th Chief Justice, Smt. Meenakshi Madan Rai.
