GUWAHATI — In a recent administrative adjustment, the Government of Assam has officially reallocated the services of Mrs. Nibedita Borthakur, an officer of the Assam Civil Services (ACS DR-21) cadre.
The directive detaches her from the state’s election apparatus and positions her within a primary rural development and governance wing.
Portfolio Realignment and New Designation
The official order transfers the officer from localized election management to broader state infrastructure and welfare governance:
-
Outgoing Assignment: She previously served as the Election Officer in the Darrang district, where she managed regional polling logistics, statutory compliance, and electoral roll updates.
-
New Posting: Her services have been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner at the Commissionerate of Panchayat & Rural Development (CPRD), Assam.
