NEW DELHI — In a solemn address to the nation, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed deep condolences over the tragic loss of lives resulting from a major mishap at a fireworks factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
In a public statement shared on X, the Prime Minister assured that local administrative machineries have been fully deployed to provide immediate relief and medical assistance to those affected by the incident.
Executive Relief Measures and Crisis Response
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has authorized immediate financial relief and emergency coordination parameters for the victims and their families:

Ex-Gratia Disbursement: Prime Minister Modi announced an immediate ex-gratia compensation from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). The families of each deceased individual will receive ₹2 lakh, while ₹50,000 has been sanctioned for each of the injured.

On-Ground Assistance: The local municipal and district administration in Ahmedabad is actively coordinating emergency operations, ensuring advanced medical treatment for the injured and logistical support for bereaved families.
