NEW DELHI — In a key diplomatic reassignment, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has named senior diplomat Ajay A. Kumar as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Iraq.
Kumar, a 2001-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, currently holds the position of Joint Secretary within the MEA. He is set to assume his new role in Baghdad shortly.
