NEW DELHI – In a significant move to bolster institutional transparency and governance, the Government of India has empanelled Mr. Rajesh Ranjan and Mr. Rakesh Mohan for appointment as Independent External Monitors (IEMs). Both officials are senior veterans currently serving with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
The empanelment, finalized on April 6, 2026, authorizes these experienced regulators to oversee high-value procurement processes and strategic contracts across various government departments and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
