NEW DELHI – The National Health Authority (NHA) has officially invited innovators to participate in the AB PM-JAY Auto-Adjudication Hackathon 2026. The initiative aims to develop AI-driven, digital solutions to automate and accelerate health insurance claims under India’s flagship Ayushman Bharat scheme.
With nearly 50,000 claims processed daily, the NHA is seeking scalable frameworks to move beyond the current 15–20% auto-adjudication rate. The goal is to reduce manual intervention, enhance fraud detection, and ensure transparent, real-time verification across 1,900+ treatment packages.

Registration Deadline: Today, April 13, 2026. Over 2,600 participants have already signed up.

Masterclass Series: A three-part introductory series begins today at 2:00 PM IST, streamed live on the NHA’s YouTube channel (@AyushmanNHA).

Grand Finale: A two-day offline event will be held on May 8-9, 2026, at IISc Bengaluru.
Incentives for Innovation
Winning teams will be awarded cash prizes of ₹5 lakh, ₹3 lakh, and ₹2 lakh for each problem statement. Beyond the financial rewards, participants have the opportunity to collaborate directly with the NHA to integrate their solutions into the national digital health infrastructure.
