NEW DELHI – In a major development for India’s defense hierarchy, Lt. Gen. N.S. Raja Subramani (Retd.) has been named the next Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). He will succeed General Anil Chauhan, whose term is scheduled to end on May 30, 2026.
