NEW DELHI — The Central Government has announced the immediate induction of two senior mid-level bureaucrats as Joint Directors to the National Testing Agency (NTA), marking the second major administrative reinforcement for the testing body within 24 hours.
Acting on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the dual appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme. The decision, detailed in an urgent Office Memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), is part of a broader government effort to scale up management capabilities within the Department of Higher Education.
New Administrative Inductions
Both officers will transition into their new roles at the NTA on a “lateral shift” basis at the Deputy Secretary level:

Shri Akash Jain, IRS (IT) (2013 Batch): Appointed as Joint Director, NTA. An Indian Revenue Service officer specializing in Income Tax, his tenure will run until December 4, 2029, to complete his remaining balance period of central deputation.

Shri Aditya Rajendra Bhojgadhiya, IA&AS (2013 Batch): Appointed as Joint Director, NTA. Coming from the Indian Audit and Accounts Service, his tenure is approved until May 16, 2028, completing a total of six years away from his home cadre.
