THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In its first major administrative realignment aimed at optimizing revenue generation, upgrading urban transport infrastructure, and fast-tracking industrial investment, the Government of Kerala has executed a sweeping reshuffle of 15 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state.
The core of this executive restructuring focuses on placing fresh administrative heads across six key district collectorates and integrating top-tier regulatory roles within the state’s finance and industrial development institutions.
New Postings in Key State Departments
The government has repositioned several senior administrators to lead critical state resource, utility, and educational verticals:

Patil Ajit Bhagwatrao has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Finance (Resources) Department, tasked with overseeing state resource mobilization.

P B Nooh takes charge as the new Commissioner of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department to drive tax enforcement and compliance frameworks.

Inbasekar K has been designated as the Managing Director of the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) to manage the state’s massive civic water supply pipelines.

Arun K Vijayan steps in as the Director of the Industries Department, holding the Full Additional Charge (FAC) as Managing Director of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), consolidating investment policy and corporate lending under a unified command.

Snehil Kumar Singh has been posted as the Director of Collegiate Education with the additional mandate of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

Arun S Nair takes over as Director of the Social Justice Department with three major additional charges: Executive Director of the Kerala Social Security Mission Limited, CEO of Cochin Smart Mission Limited (CSML), and CEO of the Kochi Metropolitan Transport Authority (KMTA).

Six vital districts across Kerala will see a transition in ground-level governance with the appointment of new District Collectors:
