NEW DELHI: In a major political milestone, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on achieving the historic distinction of becoming the country’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. Reflecting on a tenure spanning 12 years, Shah characterized the period as a transformative era defined by national resurgence, enhanced security, and institutional modernization.

    Decadal Milestones and Structural Reforms

In an official communication issued via X, the Home Minister detailed several defining legislative, educational, and cultural milestones achieved under the current administration:

    • Institutional Overhauls: The successful construction of the new Parliament building, the complete implementation of three new criminal laws to overhaul the colonial-era judiciary, and the introduction of the National Education Policy.

    • Linguistic Inclusivity: Paving the structural path to allow medical and engineering higher education to be taught in regional mother tongues.

    • National Security Mandates: A decisive consolidation of national borders, the historic abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir, the construction of the Ram Temple, a highly successful crackdown against Naxalism, and the establishment of a zero-tolerance policy against cross-border terrorism.

    • Economic Self-Reliance: The institutionalization of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) as a unifying national economic resolve.

    Cultural Renaissance and Global Prestige

The Home Minister emphasized that the administration’s legacy extends beyond physical infrastructure and policy, pointing to a profound shift in the national psyche. Shah noted that the last 12 years successfully liberated the country from a lingering colonial mindset, allowing the citizenry to transition away from a historical sense of inferiority and learn to take pride in its heritage, culture, and sovereign capabilities.

Describing these societal changes as the Prime Minister’s primary achievement, Shah stated that securing the populace while systematically restoring their self-respect and dignity stands as the core triumph of the Modi administration.

Concluding his statements, the Home Minister remarked that the Prime Minister’s leadership style perfectly symbolizes a deliberate journey from initial resolve to tangible success, and from foundational public service to robust good governance. Under this framework, a “New India” continues to establish new benchmarks of self-confidence, rapid internal development, and elevated geopolitical prestige across every global platform.
