Key Remarks on Criminal Justice Reform & Rural Economy
Delivering the keynote address, Union Minister Amit Shah highlighted the administration’s dual strategy regarding governance and rural welfare:
“The fundamental objective of the new criminal laws is not to protect the government but to safeguard the dignity, property, and physical security of the citizens of India… Their core principle is ‘justice’, not ‘punishment’.”
Addressing the cooperative sector’s impact on livestock rearers, Shah noted:
“Joining the cooperative system enables livestock rearers to receive remunerative prices for milk along with benefits from processing and value addition… Dairy cooperatives serve as a vital vehicle for women’s empowerment and rural economic growth.”
