BHUBANESWAR — A major industrial dispute between ACC Limited’s Bargarh Cement Works and its unionized workforce has been amicably resolved following conciliation proceedings led by the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Bhubaneswar.
The dispute was triggered by a closure notice issued by the ACC Limited management on June 19, 2026, proposing to shutter the establishment in Bargarh district, Odisha, effective August 19, 2026.
Sustained conciliation sessions led by Shri Chiranjeev Saikia, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), resulted in a Memorandum of Settlement signed on July 27, 2026, between the plant management and the Hira Cement Shramika Sangha.
