KOLKATA – Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced the official dissolution of its wholly owned subsidiary, CIL Solar PV Limited, following approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
The move was confirmed via a regulatory filing under SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.
MCA Strike-Off Details
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued a formal strike-off notice on May 11, 2026, removing the subsidiary from the Register of Companies. Coal India received the notification on May 12, following a process initiated in April 2026.

Statutory Compliance: The dissolution was executed under Section 248(2) and Section 248(5) of the Companies Act, 2013.
