NEW DELHI — Moving to standardize advanced engineering protocols across India’s rapid transit networks, the DMRC Academy has successfully conducted a specialized technical workshop on “Advanced Ballastless Track Structures” at its Shastri Park campus.
The intensive training initiative gathered 46 executive officers and rail engineers representing the country’s major urban transport systems to collaborate on modernizing high-speed rail corridors.

The workshop combined structural briefings with live technical exercises to optimize the long-term performance of urban rail infrastructure:

Inter-Agency Participation: The operational session drew core engineering teams from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRCL), Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), and L&T Hyderabad Metro.

Core Engineering Portfolios: Led by global specialists from Pandrol, Getzner India, and Vossloh, the technical modules focused heavily on advanced track fastening assemblies, mass spring installations, and high-efficiency vibration mitigation technologies designed to reduce urban noise pollution.

Maintenance & Field Applications: The program featured a live, hands-on demonstration of fastening systems, allowing maintenance professionals to simulate field conditions, troubleshoot tracking stresses, and share best practices for maximizing asset reliability.
