MUMBAI — Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the renovated Andheri Railway Station (RS) Post Office on May 8, 2026. This transformation is part of the Department of Posts’ ‘Jan Sewa Connect’ initiative, aimed at modernizing India’s postal infrastructure.
Originally built in 1932, the facility has been reimagined as a technology-enabled, customer-centric service hub in partnership with the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

The launch follows a successful year for India Post, which saw a 16% growth in Gross Postal Revenue during 2025-26. Minister Scindia noted that the project reflects the vision of a “citizen-centric” infrastructure, while CM Fadnavis praised the department’s role in last-mile service delivery.
