Retired 1992-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Subhash Chandra Lal Das has been appointed Chairperson of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC).
Ajay Kumar Jain and Praveen Gupta have also been appointed as members of the regulatory body. The position of DERC chairperson had reportedly remained vacant since July 2025.
Das, who has held several senior administrative positions during his career, was earlier reported to be in consideration for the post of chairperson of the Banks Board Bureau.
The appointments are expected to strengthen the leadership of the Delhi electricity regulator, which oversees key aspects of the power sector in the national capital.
