    Union Government Releases Advance Tax Devolution of ₹1,09,019 Crore to States

    New Delhi | August 1, 2026

    The Ministry of Finance has released an early tax devolution installment of ₹1,09,019 crore to State Governments on August 1, 2026, providing a significant liquidity boost to help states accelerate capital spending and developmental infrastructure projects.

    This additional disbursement comes ahead of the regular monthly devolution scheduled for August 10, 2026. Under the net proceeds distribution, Uttar Pradesh received the highest allocation at ₹19,208 crore, followed by Bihar (₹10,845 crore), Madhya Pradesh (₹8,010 crore), West Bengal (₹7,866 crore), and Maharashtra (₹7,022 crore).
