NEW DELHI — Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to undertake a comprehensive, multi-sector developmental tour of Rajasthan and Gujarat tomorrow, July 4, 2026. The high-profile itinerary features a massive slate of project launches, dedications, and foundation-stone ceremonies representing a cumulative investment of over ₹1.06 lakh crore. The initiatives span high-tech semiconductor chips, heavy petrochemicals, civil aviation, green energy grids, and urban mass transit.

Jodhpur: Civil Aviation & Regional Connectivity

The Prime Minister’s tour commences at 10:45 AM in Jodhpur, focusing heavily on upgrading India’s aerospace infrastructure and regional flight accessibility.

    • Launch of the Modified UDAN Scheme: A major policy modernization committing ₹28,840 crore over a 10-year horizon. Backed by a ₹12,000+ crore allocation to upgrade 100 unserved airstrips into active aerodromes and over ₹2,500 crore for initial operations support, the scheme will also build 200 modern helipads across remote terrains. The policy explicitly prioritizes domestic aviation platforms like the HAL Dhruv and Dornier aircraft.

    • Inauguration of the New Terminal Building: A state-of-the-art ₹480 crore terminal spanning over 23,000 sqm at Jodhpur Airport. Designed with traditional Rajasthani jharokhas and arches to reflect regional heritage, the eco-friendly terminal targets a 5-Star GRIHA rating and will expand passenger capacity to 20 lakh annually.

Balotra: Mega-Industrial Cluster & Energy Infrastructure

At 12:15 PM, the tour shifts to Balotra for a mega-development blitz alongside a large public address.

    • Dedication of India’s First Greenfield Integrated Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex: Situated at Pachpadra, this ₹79,450 crore joint venture between HPCL and the Government of Rajasthan possesses a 9 MMTPA capacity. Operating with an elite Nelson Complexity Index of 17.0 and high petrochemical yields, it will function as the primary anchor for an upcoming regional downstream Petrochemical and Plastic Park.

    • Jaipur Metro Phase 2 Expansion: Laying the foundation stone for a new ₹13,000+ crore North-South mass transit corridor. Spanning 41 km from Prahladpura to Todi Mod, the project will establish 36 stations linking residential sectors with the Sitapura and Vishwakarma industrial zones.

    • Rail, Road, and Solar Connectivity: Dedication of the Churu–Sadulpur and Churu–Ratangarh rail doubling works (₹900 crore) and the four-laning of the NH-125A Jodhpur Ring Road Section-2 (₹740 crore). Additionally, the PM will dedicate SJVN’s 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project, NHPC’s 300 MW Karnisar Bikaner Plant, a ₹1,900 crore green energy evacuation grid, and lay the foundation for a 530-km transmission network for the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone.

    • State Employment Drive: Marking a major governance milestone, the PM will oversee the distribution of appointment letters to approximately 54,000 youth recruited into various Rajasthan state government cadres.

    Sanand: Accelerating India’s Semiconductor Mission

Concluding his multi-state tour at 4:30 PM in Gujarat, the Prime Minister will arrive in Ahmedabad to formally inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand.

Developed under the strategic framework of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) with a capital outlay exceeding ₹7,500 crore, this high-tech asset signifies the official commencement of commercial chip production at the site.

Once fully operational, the end-to-end plant will boast an annual production capacity of up to 5 billion semiconductor chips. The facility is engineered to supply critical packaging, wafer sorting, and testing solutions to global high-performance computing, automotive electronics, AI infrastructure, 5G telecommunications, and Internet of Things (IoT) value chains.
