NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow on Wednesday following a fatal accident in the Valsad district of Gujarat. Taking to social media, the Prime Minister extended his sympathies to the families affected by the tragedy.

“The loss of lives due to a mishap in Valsad, Gujarat, is saddening. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Praying for the swift recovery of the injured.”
The Prime Minister’s office confirmed that he is monitoring the situation and has wished for the fast recovery of those currently undergoing treatment. Local authorities in Valsad are reportedly engaged in relief operations as the community grapples with the aftermath of the incident.
