NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam today, emphasizing the transformative power of skill, diligence, education, and compassion. In a post on X, the Prime Minister noted that these virtues serve as “amazing powers” that enable individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
The Essence of the Subhashitam
The Prime Minister shared the following verse to illustrate his message:
“को हि भारः समर्थानां किं दूरं व्यवसायिनाम्। को विदेशः सुविद्यानां कः परः प्रियवादिनाम्॥”
According to the Prime Minister’s interpretation, the verse conveys four key principles for personal and professional success:
-
For the Skilled: No task is considered too heavy or difficult.
-
For the Hardworking: No goal is too distant to reach.
-
For the Educated: There is no distinction between one’s own country and a foreign land.
-
For the Kind-Spoken: No person is ever a stranger.
Overcoming Challenges through Compassion
Beyond individual capability, the Prime Minister highlighted that compassion is a vital force in navigating life’s hurdles. He noted that by combining these traits, individuals can effectively bridge gaps—whether geographical or social—and turn every challenge into a stepping stone toward their objectives.
