NEW DELHI — Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has become the first urban rail operator in India to achieve the ISO 55001:2024 certification for its Asset Management System, specifically covering operations on Mumbai Metro Line-3.
The global accreditation validates DMRC’s transition from conventional maintenance protocols to a strategic, risk-based, and lifecycle-oriented approach. Overseeing the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the 33.5-km Colaba–Bandra–SEEPZ corridor, DMRC strengthened its asset management plans, risk assessment frameworks, and lifecycle controls to earn the certification in record time.
