    Haryana Police Overhaul: State Government Orders Sweeping Reshuffle of Top Brass

    CHANDIGARH: In a major administrative shake-up, the Haryana Government’s Home Department has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 20 senior police officials, encompassing 18 IPS officers and 2 HPS officers. The directive, signed by Sudhir Rajpal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Haryana, outlines high-profile changes across key zones, including Gurugram and Panchkula.

    The extensive list of reassignments includes every officer affected by the latest order:

    • Smt. Charu Bali, IPS (1995): Shifed from her roles as ADGP/RTC, Bhondsi, and ADGP SV & ACB (H) to serve exclusively as ADGP, Bhondsi Police Complex, Gurugram.

    • Dr. Matta Ravi Kiran, IPS (1996): Moves from ADGP/Karnal Range to take over as ADGP, SV & ACB (H), relieving Smt. Charu Bali.

    • Sh. K.K Rao, IPS (SPS) (1996): Transferred from ADGP/Hisar Range to assume charge as ADGP, RTC, Bhondsi, also relieving Smt. Charu Bali.

    • Sh. Vikas Arora, IPS (1998): Steps down as Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, to become ADGP/Administration, PHQ, Panchkula, relieving Sh. Amitabh Singh Dhillon, IPS (1997).

    • Sh. Sibash Kabiraj, IPS (1999): Vacates his post as Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, to take over as the new Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, replacing Sh. Vikas Arora.

    • Sh. Rakesh Kumar Arya, IPS (2003): Moves from IGP/SCB (H) to take charge as IGP/Crime Branch (H), relieving Sh. Sanjay Kumar, IPS (1997).

    • Sh. Ashok Kumar, IPS (SPS) (2006): Transferred from IGP, CID (H) to become IGP/Karnal Range, Karnal, replacing Dr. Matta Ravi Kiran.

    • Sh. Om Parkash, IPS (SPS) (2006): Leaves his post at IGP/HAP, Madhuban, to serve as IGP, South Range, Rewari, relieving Smt. Naazneen Bhasin.

    • Smt. Naazneen Bhasin, IPS (2007): Transferred from South Range, Rewari, to handle a dual charge as (i) IGP, HAP, Madhuban, Karnal (replacing Sh. Om Parkash) and (ii) IGP/RTC, Bhondsi.

    • Sh. Kuldeep Singh, IPS (SPS) (2007): Moves from IGP/HSEnB & IG, Law & Order (H) to take over as IGP, Hisar Range, Hisar, replacing Sh. K.K Rao.

    • Sh. Hamid Akhtar, IPS (2008): Shifts from DIG/SCB, Panchkula, to take up the role of DIG/HAP, Madhuban, replacing Sh. Surinder Pal Singh.

    • Sh. Surinder Pal Singh, IPS (SPS) (2010): Moves from DIG, HAP, Madhuban, to take over as DIG/CID (H), replacing Sh. Ashok Kumar.

    • Sh. Rajender Kumar Meena, IPS (2011): Transferred from Jt. CP, Sonipat, to look after DIG, HSNCB at Sonipat, in addition to his current assignments.

    • Sh. Manbir Singh, IPS (SPS) (2011): Shifts from DIG/PTC, Sunaria, to assume charge as DIG, HSNCB at Rohtak, in addition to his current duties.

    • Sh. Sunil Kumar, IPS (SPS) (2012): Promoted within the rank of DIG from SP/SCB (H) to look after a dual responsibility as (i) DIG, SCB (H), Panchkula (replacing Sh. Hamid Akhtar) and (ii) DIG, HSNCB, Panchkula.

    • Sh. Surinder Singh Bhoria, IPS (SPS) (2014): Transferred from SP, Law & Order, PHQ, to hold dual charge as (i) SP, STF, Panchkula and (ii) SP, Commando, Newal Karnal, relieving Sh. Narendra Bijarniya, IPS (2015).

    • Ms. Aditi Singh, IPS (2021): Following a period awaiting posting, she has been appointed as SP, SV & ACB (H), GGM, replacing Ms. Poonam, HPS.

    • Sh. Siddharth Dhanda, HPS: Transferred from SP, Telecom, Panchkula, to take over as SP, State Crime Branch (H), replacing Ms. Pooja Dabla, HPS.

    • Ms. Poonam, HPS: Vacates her post as SP/SV & ACB, GGM, to take over as SP/SCB(H).

    • Ms. Pooja Dabla, HPS: Transferred from SP, SCB(H) to assume the role of SP/ERSS, Panchkula, relieving Sh. Siddharth Dhanda.


    The order has been distributed to the Secretary to Governor, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Chief Secretary of Haryana, and the Director General of Police (DGP), Haryana for immediate administrative execution.
