NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) successfully observed Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 from July 1 to July 15 across all its divisions, subordinate bodies, and regional field offices nationwide.
The nationwide drive aimed to reinforce environmental sustainability, optimize workplace management, and promote community outreach in line with the Union Government’s Swachh Bharat Mission.
Key Operational & Administrative Focus Areas
The fortnight-long campaign followed a structured day-wise action plan designed to streamline governance and office hygiene:

Digital & Physical Administrative Housecleaning: Offices engaged in systematic file reviews, record weeding, disposal of obsolete equipment, and the acceleration of e-office digital workflows.

Environmental & Waste Management Initiatives: Key activities included plantation drives, single-use plastic reduction campaigns, waste segregation, and sustainable recycling practices.

Awareness & Community Engagement: Regional field offices organized workshops, public awareness rallies, essay and poster competitions, and voluntary Shramdaan (cleanliness drives) to foster broader civic participation.
