Quoting the ancient verse—“अष्टौ गुणाः पुरुषं दीपयन्ति प्रज्ञा सुशीलत्वदमौ श्रुतं च। पराक्रमश्च बहुभाषिता च दानं यथाशक्ति कृतज्ञता च।।”—the Prime Minister highlighted how these timeless values shape individual integrity and social harmony. He noted that wisdom (Prajna), good conduct (Sushilatva), self-control (Dama), knowledge (Shrutam), courage (Parakrama), skillful speech (Bahubhashita), charity according to one’s capacity (Dana), and gratitude (Kritajnata) collectively enrich human life and earn respect within society.
