NEW DELHI – The Rajya Sabha Secretariat has bolstered its top-tier leadership with the appointment of Dr. K S Somashekhar as its new Secretary. A scholar-administrator with a robust background in both literature and governance, Dr. Somashekhar is set to lead the administrative functions of India’s Upper House.
Dr. Somashekhar is a distinguished academic holding a Ph.D. in Literature. Beyond his scholarly credentials, he is a noted polyglot, maintaining fluency in Kannada, Hindi, English, Telugu, and Tamil.
