    RECPDCL Transfers Two Inter-State Transmission Projects Worth ₹3,321 Crore to Power Grid and Terralight Solar

    New Delhi | July 30, 2026

    REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Maharatna CPSU REC Limited, has officially handed over two project-specific Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for inter-state transmission system (ISTS) schemes to successful bidders following a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.

    Both projects will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis:

    • Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited: Transferred to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The project involves grid augmentation at the Bhadla-III, Ramgarh, and Kanpur pooling stations. It is scheduled for completion by January 20, 2029, with an estimated outlay of ₹1,035 crore.

    • Shongtong Power Transmission Limited: Transferred to Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited. The project aims to evacuate power from the Shongtong Karcham HEP (450 MW) and Tidong HEP (150 MW) in Himachal Pradesh via a 400/220 kV GIS Jhangi Pooling Station and associated transmission lines. The scheme is budgeted at ₹2,286 crore with a execution timeline of 30 months.
