AMARAVATI – In a move that brings veteran administrative expertise back to the forefront of the state’s democratic process, Anil Chandra Punetha has been appointed as the State Election Commissioner (SEC) of Andhra Pradesh. A 1984-batch IAS officer and the former Chief Secretary of the state, Punetha’s appointment follows his recent stint as the State Vigilance Commissioner.
