Lucknow | Friday, April 10, 2026 — In a major push to optimize district administration and urban policing, the Uttar Pradesh government has cleared the transfer of 12 IPS officers. The list, dominated by the 2022 “RR” batch, sees several young officers stepping into elevated roles as Additional Superintendents and Deputy Commissioners.

The reshuffle touches nearly every corner of the state, from the industrial belts of western U.P. to the sensitive Naxal-affected zones in the south.

    Prominent Promotions and Transfers

Leading the list is Shri Sagar Jain (2019 batch), who transitions from Saharanpur to a high-stakes role as Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Prayagraj Commissionerate. In a similar vein, the state’s major urban centers—Lucknow, Varanasi, and Meerut—received fresh leadership with the appointments of Sushri Twinkle Jain, Sushri Lipi Nagayach, and Shri Vinayak Gopal Bhosale to Additional SP and Deputy Commissioner roles.

    Deployment to Specialized Zones

The government has also reinforced its focus on the Naxal-affected districts of Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. Shri Rajkumar Meena and Shri Rishabh Runwal have been tasked with overseeing these regions as Additional Superintendents of Police (Naxal), bringing fresh energy to the state’s security operations in the forest-heavy border belts.

    Full List of Affected Officers

    • Shri Sagar Jain: Moves from ASP Rural (Saharanpur) to DCP (Prayagraj).

    • Shri Manoj Kumar Rawat: Transfers from Gonda (East) to become ASP (South) in Sambhal.

    • Shri Ayush Vikram Singh: Shifts from ASP City (Meerut) to ASP City (Bahraich).

    • Shri Vinayak Gopal Bhosale: Promoted from Assistant SP (Sitapur) to ASP City (Meerut).

    • Shri Antariksh Jain: Transitions from Meerut to ASP Rural (Bulandshahr).

    • Sushri Twinkle Jain: Moves from the Noida Commissionerate to ADCP in Lucknow.

    • Sushri Lipi Nagayach: Leaves Ghaziabad to take up the ADCP post in Varanasi.

    • Shri Rajkumar Meena: Appointed ASP Naxal (Mirzapur) from the Prayagraj Commissionerate.

    • Shri Rishabh Runwal: Shifts from Lucknow to ASP Naxal (Sonbhadra).

    • Shri Alok Kumar: Assigned as ASP City East (Pratapgarh) from Sambhal.

    • Dr. Ishan Soni: Moves from the Varanasi Commissionerate to ASP (Jalaun).

    • Shri Mayank Pathak: Transferred from Aligarh to take over as ASP Rural (Saharanpur).

This administrative restructuring is expected to be implemented with immediate effect, as the state seeks to streamline its response to evolving law-and-order challenges.
