Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya felicitated India’s weightlifting contingent following their performance at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Competing across 11 weight categories, Indian lifters returned with eight medals—one gold, six silver, and one bronze—alongside multiple tournament records and personal bests.
During the ceremony in New Delhi, the Minister handed over cash incentives to the athletes and called on them to serve as sports ambassadors by visiting schools and colleges across the country to inspire grassroots youth.
