BATHINDA — Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini have launched the fourth phase of the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra from Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda district.

The public movement focuses on addressing three primary concerns in the state: substance abuse, law-and-order concerns, and systemic corruption.

    Key Campaign Priorities & Objectives

    • Core Focus: Mobilizing community action against the drug crisis, rising crime rates, and administrative corruption.

    • Non-Partisan Agenda: Structured as a broad-based social reform movement aimed at achieving Viksit Punjab rather than a political campaign.

Phase 3 Summary & Community Engagement

The launch follows the preceding third phase flagged off in Fazilka by Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal:

    • Spiritual Resonance: Citing teachings from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Minister Meghwal underscored the moral and mental imperative to abstain from mind-altering substances.

    • Direct Outreach: Minister Meghwal interacted with affected families and community members to hear firsthand experiences regarding the impact of addiction on local households.
