NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Textiles has officially launched its operational framework for Special Campaign 6, a nationwide government efficiency and cleanliness initiative directed by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
Running from October 2 to October 31, 2026, the campaign prioritizes institutionalizing workplace cleanliness, reducing pending official references, and executing a targeted drive for the scientific collection, segregation, and disposal of electronic waste across all attached divisions and field offices.

Preparatory Phase (September 15–30, 2026): Identification of targets, including pending references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial Cabinet Notes, PMO matters, Parliamentary Assurances over three months old, Public Grievances and Appeals, along with scrap mapping and file auditing.

Implementation Phase (October 2–31, 2026): Active execution of site cleanups, systematic file review/weeding, e-file closures, e-waste processing, and pendency resolution.

Evaluation Phase (November 16–30, 2026): Comprehensive assessment and reporting of outputs across ministries.
