CHENNAI — Expanding the responsibilities of its top police brass, the Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday assigned Asra Garg, Inspector General of Police (Intelligence), the full additional charge as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Intelligence.
The executive order effectively places the senior officer in direct command of the state’s intelligence gathering and internal security mechanisms.
