The Minister emphasized that renewable energy, electric mobility, and the circular economy are creating a paradigm shift in India’s development model.
Key Pillars of Green Growth

National Green Hydrogen Mission: With an outlay of over ₹19,000 crore, this initiative is spearheading clean industrial transformation in sectors like steel and cement.

Energy Diversification: Beyond solar and wind, the Minister identified ocean energy and expanded nuclear power capacity as critical frontiers for long-term energy security.

Innovation Fund: A ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Fund has been established to help startups scale sustainable technologies.

Dr. Singh noted that the transition to a low-carbon economy is unlocking large-scale “Green Jobs” in:

Solar & Battery Manufacturing: Large-scale production and grid management.

Biofuels: High-potential entrepreneurship in converting waste, such as used cooking oil, into fuel.

E-Mobility: Grassroots innovations in converting conventional vehicles to electric, making sustainability affordable.
The Role of Youth
The Minister urged students and researchers to embrace the “Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE)” vision. He stated that with 1.4 billion people, India’s youth are uniquely positioned to lead the global green transition through innovation and adaptability.
