NEW DELHI — Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam today, outlining the core values required for individual and national advancement. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister emphasized that success is the result of disciplined effort and strategic thinking.

    The Fundamental Causes of Success

The Prime Minister shared a specific verse detailing the essential traits for growth:

“Utthanam samyamo dakshyamapramado dhritih smritih | Samikshya cha samarambho viddhimulam bhavasya tu ||”

According to the PM, the seven fundamental causes of progress are:

    1. Effort (Hard work)

    2. Self-control (Discipline)

    3. Skill (Competence)

    4. Vigilance (Alertness)

    5. Patience (Perseverance)

    6. Memory (Learning from the past)

    7. Thoughtful Initiation (Planning before acting)

    A Vision for National Strength

PM Modi remarked that hard work, when paired with patience and dedication, does more than just bring personal success—it infuses the nation’s prosperity and strength with “fresh vigor.”

The message serves as a call to citizens to adopt these timeless principles to drive the country’s collective growth and resilience.
