NEW DELHI — The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the appointment of career diplomat Gina Uika (IFS: 2006) as India’s next High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana.
Uika, currently serving as Joint Secretary in charge of Emigration Policy & Welfare (EP&W) at headquarters in New Delhi, will assume charge in Gaborone shortly. Her transition to Southern Africa comes as India accelerates diplomatic and trade diversification across key African partner nations.
