KOLKATA — The West Bengal administration has assigned Sumant Sahay, IAS, to lead the state’s tourism portfolio as Director, Tourism alongside his role as Managing Director of West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited (WBTDCL).
The consolidation of both administrative and corporate leadership under the 2016-batch officer aims to streamline state-level tourism planning, eliminate operational delays, and modernize destination infrastructure.
