NEW DELHI — In a strategic bolstering of federal anti-narcotics enforcement, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved the central deputation of senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers Vivek Raj Singh and Vikram M. Khalate as Deputy Directors General (DDG) in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Sanctioned by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), the five-year appointments bring established state-level policing and investigative experience to the apex national drug law enforcement agency.
