    UP Power Shift: Bureaucracy Overhauled as Key Officers Transferred Across Departments

    LUCKNOW — In a major administrative shake-up, the Uttar Pradesh Government has transferred 14 senior officers across various administrative cadres, key secretariats, and district offices in a bid to strengthen state governance and project execution.

    The official order issued by the state administration outlines a series of key strategic reassignments across startup development, public works, IT, and regional development boards.

    Overview of Key Appointments

    • Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, previously serving as Chief Development Officer (CDO) in Saharanpur, takes charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Uttar Pradesh Start-up Mission.

    • Dr. Sunil Kumar Verma, formerly Additional Commissioner (State Tax), has been posted as Chief Development Officer, Saharanpur.

    • Rahul Singh, former Special Secretary in the IT and Electronics Department, steps into the role of Special Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD).

    • Abhishek Kumar, outgoing CDO of Lakhimpur Kheri, assumes the role of Special Secretary, IT and Electronics Department.

    • Yoganand Pandey, exiting his position as Additional District Magistrate (City), Ayodhya, takes over as Chief Development Officer, Lakhimpur Kheri.

    • Sahab Singh, previously Member (Judicial) at the Revenue Board in Prayagraj, moves to the secretariat as Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department.

    • Dr. Vishram, former Additional Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, joins the Revenue Board in Prayagraj as Member (Judicial).

    • Devendra Kumar Singh Kushwaha, former Special Secretary (Silk Development Department) and Director of Silk, has been reassigned as Member (Judicial), Revenue Board, Prayagraj.

    • Anand Kumar Shukla, previously CDO of Ambedkar Nagar, fills the vacant post of Special Secretary, Silk Development Department, and Director, Silk.

    • Vaibhav Mishra, former Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) in Kushinagar, steps in as Chief Development Officer, Ambedkar Nagar.

    • Ashok Kumar Kanojia, former Joint Director (Youth Welfare), takes charge as Special Secretary, Secondary Education Department.

    • Arun Kumar, outgoing Additional Commissioner of Aligarh Division, has been appointed Special Secretary, Rural Development Department.

    • Pradeep Kumar Yadav, previously Additional Municipal Commissioner in Saharanpur, steps into the role of Additional Commissioner, Aligarh Division.

    • Neha Sharma, Director General of Medical Education, has been relieved of her concurrent charge as Secretary, Medical Education Department.

    The administrative directives take effect immediately, with officers instructed to assume their new postings without delay.
