AIZAWL — R. Zarzosanga, a 2007-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has officially been named the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Mizoram. He succeeds outgoing CEO Garima Gupta to head the state’s election machinery.
The high-level appointment comes on the heels of the formal publication of Mizoram’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 final electoral rolls, which were released on September 7 prior to the administrative restructuring.
