SHIMLA — Public Sector Undertaking SJVN Limited marked Hindi Diwas 2026 at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla with the official inauguration of Hindi Pakhwada, a fortnight-long initiative running from September 14 to September 28, 2026.
Extending his greetings on the occasion, SJVN Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Shri Bhupendra Gupta highlighted Hindi as a key pillar of India’s cultural heritage and national unity, calling for collective efforts to increase the official adoption of the language across all corporate and field operations.
Fortnight-Long Initiatives and Competitions
The inaugural proceedings were led by Director (Personnel) Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma, who officially launched the event in the presence of Chief General Manager Smt. Seema Kumar and other senior department heads.
To foster engagement and expand practical usage among workforce members, the company has organized a series of inter-departmental competitions across its corporate office and regional project units:

Linguistic Skills & Accuracy: Pure word writing (Shuddh Shabd Lekhan), dictation (Shrutlekhan), and handwriting (Sulekhan) contests.
The event aims to build a spirit of healthy workplace participation while embedding official language compliance into daily administrative workflows.
