AGARTALA – The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, through PIB Agartala, has confirmed that India’s domestic LPG supply remains stable and adequate despite ongoing global geopolitical tensions. IndianOil is currently maintaining consistent delivery levels, providing approximately 28 lakh cylinders daily to households nationwide.
To ensure transparency and curb malpractices, the government has launched a massive nationwide crackdown on hoarding and black marketing.
Key Highlights of the Supply Report:

Normal Delivery Levels: Domestic LPG supply is being accorded the highest priority, with current distribution matching pre-crisis levels.

Digital Adoption: Nearly 87% of LPG bookings are now made via digital platforms (SMS/IVRS). Deliveries are secured using Delivery Authentication Codes (DAC OTP) to ensure they reach the intended recipients.

Strict Enforcement: Authorities have conducted over 68,000 raids and 7,500 inspections of distributorships. To date, 855 FIRs have been registered and more than 48,000 cylinders have been seized from hoarders.

Action Against Distributors: Legal action has been taken against 141 distributors, including the immediate suspension of five for various malpractices.
