DAMAN: In a major push toward upgrading healthcare infrastructure in India’s Union Territories, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the newly constructed Namo Hospital at Daman on June 5, 2026. The facility is set to serve as a critical medical hub, providing advanced and affordable healthcare services to the local population and neighboring regions.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister emphasized that the launch aligns with the central government’s ongoing mission to democratize access to high-quality medical treatment across every corner of the nation. He highlighted that the hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, which will significantly bridge the healthcare infrastructure gap in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister shared the milestone on social media platform X, stating:
“In line with our efforts towards providing quality health treatment to the people, the Namo Hospital at Daman was inaugurated. It has modern facilities and will go a long way in addressing the healthcare needs of the Union Territory and surrounding areas.”
