NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) organized a national workshop titled ‘Leveraging Latest Technologies in Assessment of Forest and Tree Resources’ in New Delhi on September 10, 2026.
Inaugurated by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav alongside Union MoS Kirti Vardhan Singh, the conference brought together the Forest Survey of India (FSI), State Forest Departments, and scientific institutions to standardize digital technologies for tracking India’s green cover, carbon sink expansion, and climate commitments under the UNFCCC.
